A day, once it has recorded itself
Twenty-four hours, in proportion. No timers were started or stopped — each block is simply the time between one tap and the next.
- Sleep 7h 30m
- Deep Work 3h 30m
- Family 2h 30m
- Meetings 1h 30m
- Distracted 45m
How it works
-
Tap what you are doing
A grid of large buttons, usable one-handed and without looking hard at the screen. There is no start button and no stop button, because a tap is both: starting one thing is what ends the last one.
-
Forget about it
Nothing is asked of you between taps. If you forget for an afternoon, the gap is offered back to you later as a question rather than left as a hole, and you can name it or leave it unnamed.
-
See where it actually went
The day as a single strip, the week against the week before, and patterns drawn from what you recorded. Observations, not advice — nothing here tells you that you should have done otherwise.
Nothing leaves this device
Not as a setting you have to find, and not as a policy that could be revised. There is no server to send anything to.
- No account, no email address, and no sign-in.
- No analytics, no tracking, and no third-party script of any kind — including on this page.
- Your record is kept by your own browser. Export it whenever you like, as a backup file or as a spreadsheet, and it is yours to keep.
- It works with no network at all, on a plane or underground, because it was never talking to anything.
The rest of it
-
Yours to name
Start from a set that looks like your days, then rename, reorder, add and retire activities as they change.
-
Repairable
Every entry can be moved, split, merged or relabelled afterwards. A record you cannot correct is one you stop trusting.
-
Readable
Five palettes, a text size that scales, reduced motion honoured, and contrast checked rather than assumed.
-
Installable
Add it to a home screen and it opens like an application, full screen and instantly, with or without a connection.
It takes about a minute to start
One question about the shape of your days, and then you are recording. There is nothing to set up first.
